Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

This mystery always makes me ponder about the connection of joy and doing God's will - a joy that comes even in suffering. (It must be something I need particularly cause I'm not at all joyful in suffering). It just hit me that the presentation is both a joyful mystery of the rosary and one of the 7 sorrows of Our Lady.

WOW Janet!!!

Great connection that I never thought of! I am going to ponder that very connection at Adoration this week.

Thank you.

This is one of my favorite mysteries of the rosary... what joy Mary must have felt at being able to bring Jesus to the temple. I can just picture her, the smiling and happy young mother, celebrating such a joyful time.
And Joseph must have been so proud, too- because who can resist the charms of a new baby? It probably only took one look for those two to be bonded forever.
