Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I just purchased See and Sew. I reviewed it on my blog, but I am sticking it here too because it is that good. I am loving this book and think every little girl should have it. And while it is a children's book, it is perfectly suitable for adults as well who missed out on some of these lessons (ME!). It really covers the basics of hand sewing well. I am going to get so much out of it. It would be a great gift. Yay!

Oh, neat. I've read Look and Cook the other by this author. I loved it - had such a nice nostalgic feel. Off to check if the library has this one as well. Thanks.

I borrowed it ILL as our library didn't have it -- now I can't wait to see it!

Thanks for the heads up.

Jennifer I saw your review on your blog this morning and I thought it would make a nice Easter gift for my 2 oldest dd's. I ordered it along with the Look and Cook book (glad to hear you liked that one Mary M). I can't wait to see both of them!

Michelle, I hope your daughters like it - mine won't put it down. I wish it had been given to me as a young girl.
