I just finished reading this one... I was looking for a book that delved into seasonal eating and stumbled on this one at the library.

It's interesting: premise was for this lady to spend only the food stamp limit on groceries per month and still eat at least some organic food, which she does, at even lower cost than what the food stamps would allow.

I learned some new things from this book: boiling pasta in very little water, for one, which is a nice trick and saves time. Also, there was practical advice on what to scrimp on and what to splurge on in the organic world.

There are seasonal menus and lots of recipes. She walks you through what to cook and when with her menu plans. The only thing that I didn't like about the book was that milk was not included in her budget per se, as in tea was the beverage of choice. No milk sure would help keep the budget down, but it's not happening at my house.

Anyway- a good read and useful (at least to me )
