Has anyone tried making dolls similar to these Santa Lucia from Posie Gets Cozy?

I bought the supplies from Caseys Wood (very great customer service, I might add), but I'm surprised that that head is very wobbly fitting over the clothespin. It's not a tight fit.

So what do you do about it?
