Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Mary, I'm excited for you too! Would this book be usable by a very-much-a-beginning-knitter? I came home from Christmas vacation with my grandmother's knitting supplies. Nicholas and I have been making our first pot holders using the basic knitting instructions from Kids Knitting: Projects for Kids of all Ages that you recommended you recommended. Nicholas has figured out how to change yarns mid-way, but has yet to teach me.      Your book sounds so tempting!

Janette, I tried to make the projects so they'd be all levels and you could progress right thru them. I didn't "rank" any (beginner, advanced, etc) because I honestly believe that all are doable. Besides, you can always track me down for help!

Yay! That was the answer that the compulsive-book-buyer and knitting-wanna-be in me was hoping for.

Mary! I am pleased as punch to see this great news! I only wish I knew more about knitting to help me along...and an extra strong guardian angel to keep the knitting away from the 3yo...sheesh!

My grandmother knitted and crocheted all the time for people she didn't even know! She did so much so quickly you could scarcely see the needles as they flew! I know that she and her sisters never wanted to be idle. Their hands were always busy doing for others. I love that thought! I want to be more like her...someone has to!

I shall not give up!!
...wish me luck

God love you!

Fabulous Mary

Now if my dh would get started on a little bookholder so I can read and knit (with a little one climbing on me) at the same time!!!

Mine arrived yesterday and like any good book, I just had to curl up with it and page through.
Lovely.
