Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

How do you color icing without using artificial food dye? Thank you--
Love,
Margaret

What color do you want? If you're looking for pink/red for Valentine's Day, I'd use raspberry puree, passed through a fine sieve.

We freeze strawberries and sugar every year and I took the juice leftover and poured it into my frosting this morning. It came out areally delicate pink but in years past I have smashed frozed rasperries and thrown them into the frosting and the white cake. It takes to make it more purple than redish though.
