Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

OK folks, these two books might even get some of you diehard "I CAN'T Knit" ladies to knit ... Handknits for Kids: 25 Original Designs for Girls and Boys and (the even better!) And So to Bed: Handknits and Things. Both of these have some of the best kids' designs I've ever seen ... and the knitted toys are so cute!

Honestly, y'all might want to check these out ... even if you're own kids are too big, stash the books away until your grandbabies start coming ... Yes, they are THAT GOOD!

Oh Mary,

Aren't they the cutest? I've had them both from the library as long as they would let me....thanks for reminding me to bump them up on my Amazon wishlist.

Kathleen

And So to Bed: Handknits and Things has some of the cutest bed-time stuff I've ever seen ... bathrobes, hotwater bottle covers and lots of really nice stuffed toys .... I love the books themselves as they take photos of the actual knitted item and place them in cartoon-like illustrations -- the overall effect is one of whimsy and just plain fun!
