The ones that are shown on that tree with the paper ones are fairly easy .... get a clear glass globe and squirt acrylic paint in and then another color of paint, roll the globe around to distribute the paint, then turn upside down to drain out the excess paint ...let dry completely, put the "cap" back on the globe and tie a coordinating ribbon .... really inexpensive to make a bunch of these!

If you use a glittery paint it really is cool.

These ornaments turn out really pretty. But, I have to say it was a huge disappointment in the next year for the kids when the paint started peeling inside.

I wonder if there is a paint that will stick to globe without peeling. What kind of paint did you use, Mary? Have they stayed intact after time has passed?

Papercast ornaments - these are very simple even for little ones because you use toitet paper and a spray bottle. The only expense is getting a paper mold or two (but since they are reusable its a good investment).

We also made candy canes from beads and pipe cleaners. Super simple!

I remember recently finding a link to someone's blog in one of the threads, leading to their post about making christmas fairies out of silk flowers, pipe cleaners and wooden balls...I can't seem to find it now. Anybody remember this post and where I can find it? Im sitting here with all the supplies now and Id really like to get another look at how they were made before we proceed with ours.
I think they will make wonderful ornaments/gifts this Christmas.

Was it this post on poinsettia flower fairies from last last year on Elizabeth's blog?
