Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Hello all!

I am attempting to set up a "Sewing with St. Anne" Flickr group. If you have any photos of you or your kids doing ANYTHING from the book, I would be ever so grateful if you would consider uploading them to the pool. You can click here to go to the "Sewing" Flickr page. (You can also get there through the link on my blog.)

Thank you all SO much for considering this!!

I sent you an email AND THEN remembered where I had seen your request. Do you want us to just upload them directly to the pool or would you like to see them first?

How do you upload to Flickr? Assume I know nothing--'cause I know nothing .

Ok, I'll give this a shot... but keep in mind that this is still new to me.
First, go to this link for the Sewing w/ St. Anne group page.
Second, Join the group. (Can't remember how that went exactly, fairly simple I think.)
Third, go to the little text links at the bottom of the page and click "Upload". After your picture is up there, make sure it is marked "public". If it is marked "private", we will not be able to see it.
Fourth. Now this is what took me a few minutes to figure out (I'm slow ), click on your photo to go to that particular photo's page. When the page for that picture pops up, click "send to group" in the space between the picture and the title. Then select "sewing with st. anne" and it should go through.

Thanks for taking the time out of your busy days to do this!!!

OK. I think I did it right. Can you double check it? Thanks!

Elizabeth-
First I had to create an account.
Then I uploaded the pictures.
After that you can join the group and then add your pictures to the group.

I have no idea how I did it but my pictures are up there next to Matilda's. Matilda, your daughter is positively delicious!

Can you actually see my two? When I sign out and go back to look at the group, they aren't there. Is it just me? If you can see them then I will stop worrying about it.

Elizabeth, I LOVE the through-the-sewing-machine pictures!! So cute!!!

Matilda, I don't know why you are not able to see yours... I'll go dig around on flickr and see what I can come up with.

Well, I had a friend try to find the group and tell me what she could see. All she saw was Michelle's picture and it still said that there was only one photo in the pool. I checked to make sure that my pictures were listed as public. When I sign in I can see all of the pictures and I love the ones through the sewing machine!!! Your daughter has the cutest little grin!

I could see all the pictures, but only when I clicked on each member's smiley face. Michele's seem to be marked differently, as a group photo, where the others are individual photos?

Ok, ladies. I'm delving deep into the help files and looking for clues. From a quick glance at the flickr forums, it seems I'm not the only one with this problem. Is that good or bad?

Ah Ha!!
Apparently there is an approval process for new groups (that would be us) that generally takes between 1 to 3 days. After approval, everyone (not just signed in members) will be able to view the pics.
I guess we'll wait & see!

Michelle,
My daughter loved the pictures of your daughter's needle book. She wants to make one right now along with a bib for her new little cousin and a mantle for her Mary and a.....

Which would explain why mine is visible and the others aren't. Mine was uploaded yesterday.

Elizabeth you give me WAY more credit than I deserve!

Alice,
My daughter is a little star struck right now. When I told her that the lady who asked for the pictures was the author of SWSA her chin dropped to the floor! You should have seen her expression when I said that you were one of my "Forum Friends" too.
