Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Can anyone give me the name of one that is reliably quiet?

I had to replace our old one this year, and the new one wakes us up at night it gets so loud.
We use it almost every night, as it seems to help my dd's asthma. But I am tired of that darn thinking deciding to rattle at 2 AM!

We have three of them, for when the littles get congested. All three of them are the Vick's brand, and I've never had one rattle ! I don't typically use the "Vick's Vapor" that comes with it, but rather add my own Essential Oils in the little cup, meant to hold the vapor ~ hmmm, lavendar. Lovely!

Now that is my whole problem- my old Vicks vaporizer was very quiet and considerate. The new one I bought is very quiet... until it becomes very loud in the middle of the night! Bad vaporizer! Maybe I got a lemon?

Maybe so! Even when the water level gets very, very low, ours are silent. And often the only time I know that they are on is when I see the orange glow of the indicator light, ontop, right where the steam comes out.

Aha- my dh suggested that perhaps my thriftiness had caused me to buy a lesser quality product . I keep telling him that the old one was a cheap-o one, too, and it was fine. I mean... do I really want to pay $20 more just so the vaporizer has a cheery frog face? It's on at night- when it's dark. No one is looking at it!
