Thank you July Exercise Buddies!

To help motivate us and to invite new T-Tapp and other exercise buddies, I hope it will help to start fresh each month and set goals one month at a time! It also helps to have daily email reminders from this topic as well as having friendly accountability. Who is in for the month of August and what are your goals?

You are also invited to join the sophisticated Pay Yourself a Penny Plan where you pay yourself a penny for each minute of formal exercise you do each day. What will you do with your reward?

I'm in because I'm caring for our 5 month old foster son and want to keep up my strength and energy - he is quite a motivator! My goals are to T-Tapp 15 minutes every day except Sunday and to re-read Fit and Fabulous in 15 Minutes. I plan to reward myself with some sort of gourmet food .

Here are principles that some have found helpful. Please feel free to add to this list!

Quote:
PRINCIPLES TO HELP REACH FORMAL EXERCISE GOALS:

Exercising 15 minutes a day is better than not exercising at all.

Exercise 15 minutes every day except Sunday.

Exercise as early in the day as possible.

Exercise with a partner and/or your children.

Offer yourself a reward for exercise completed.

Measure to see objective results.

Hope to see you here...Yes You Can!

Love,

Yay! A new month!

I posted on the other board that I just received my T-tapp in the mail this week.

Today I did day 3 of the "Boot Camp" for the 15 minute Basic Workout! So, that's 3 days in a row...I think I'm going to go for the 2 week boot camp.

I guess that is goal number one!

So, a few questions for you "veteran" T-tappers!

1. Have you seen the clothing size go down like she mentions in her booklets and on the videos? Oh, and I know she says she is not concerned with weight loss but inch loss, however, have you lost weight if you've been doing this fairly consistently for a few months??

2. What about inch loss? Would anyone be willing to share the inches you've lost and where they are? (arms, thighs, etc.)

3. How long does it take you to feel "comfortable" like you really *know* the exercises? I feel like I'm still very much taking it all in. But, I was prepped for day 3 to be the hardest, like she said...but today was the easiest for me, mostly because I'm slowly just learning the moves, I think.

4. Does it eventually become more natural to "tuck in" and keep your knees bent the whole time? Right now that much is even hard for me!

Thanks for your encouragement and thanks for introducing me to this program. I am very excited!!

Welcome, Candace!

I haven't been too successful this past week. It's been every other day, and the food choices were meals on wheels. I don't like being out all the time -- it's definitely stressful, and then it's catch-up at home. Exercise was hard to fit into the squished schedule.

Happy to see you, Candace and Jenn!

Candace, I hope to answer your questions tomorrow but for now...do measure yourself. I waited to measure and then regretted the wait. Seeing inches shrink really helped keep me motivated in the beginning plus I tend to add weight (muscle) when I exercise so seeing the inch loss is important.

Today is a new day, Jenn! Hope it isn't quite as squished .

I T-Tapped this morning. How are you all doing?

Love,

1. Yes my clothing size went down a size - and I didn't think I needed to go down a size. What happened is that my body straightened up through better posture so clothes fit better. Oh...I needed to invest in longer tops because my old ones looked too short now that I stand more straight - hope that makes sense. I did drop weight somewhere along the way but I also gained weight at first (muscle.)

2. I don't know exactly what my inch count is now but I lost several inches, especially around my belly - I'm short-waisted.

3. It took 2 weeks straight for me to "get it." I had only planned on doing the boot camp for 4 days at first since I didn't need to lose much but...I just kept doing it because I wanted to figure it out.

4. I've been doing this almost a year and I still need to concentrate on form. A neat thing is that now I catch myself correcting my posture during the rest of the day - tucking here, straightening there!

Keep up the good work, Candace!

I'm done for the day - how about you all?

Love,

Thanks for answering my questions, Angie! I am so curious to hear overall from ladies who have been doing this for longer than me!

I did day 5 this morning! Whew! I will be glad when I can notice some effects in my energy level. I am starting to wonder if something else is going on with me. I have already eliminated white flours, white sugars, most sugar of any kind, sodas...am exercising and still TIRED most of the time. I have had my thyroid checked, it was probably a year ago though. I just don't know...if anyone has any suggestions I am listening. Oh and I am taking a pretty good vitamin as well as fish oil.

I remember being tired for the first 2 weeks when I started T-Tapp. I wonder if it has something to do with getting better alignment to allow for more energy flow?

Keep up the good work, Candance...and you other exercise buddies .

I missed yesterday - hadn't slept much the night before, up with a sick little one, pediatrician visit in the morning, running to two pharmacies, learning how to do breathing treatments....but I digress . Managed to T-Tapp this morning before I needed to deal with a ds injury. Oh, and I have a cold. How's that for excuse-making .

Love,

Well, I completed day 7 of T-Tapp this morning!

Is it even possible that I lost 4 inches in one week? That seems insane, in fact, I think it is probably just a mistake in measuring. I'm not used to measuring my body parts and surely it will become more consisten (better measuring) as I go on...

But, it looked like maybe my bust was down .25, my abdomen down .5, one of my thighs down 1.25?!?!? And oa few other .5's down here and there...

I think it is probably just user error in this case.

It is absolutely possible - and probable! Good for you, Candace

I'm done for today and want you all to know that I'll be away from the computer starting Saturday through next Thursday or Friday. But I *will* be T-Tapping all week! Could you all take turns bumping this in case some members are using this topic to receive email reminders to exercise? Thanks!

Keep up the great work ALL!

Love,

Good for you Candace!
I did the Total Workout this morning. I hope to do Callanetics tomorow, but Saturdays are usually pretty busy for me.

Yeah, Candace, Angie, and Nina!

I have failed miserably. Exercise has not happened in a while.

Don't feel bad, Jenn...my week fell apart and I missed my exercising. I'm just going to start again! Start up with me!

OK ladies, here is a reminder! It's Monday morning... have you exercised yet? Let us know when you do!

Last week fell apart for me and I only exercised twice. I am determined to do better than that this week! Happy Monday!

It's a new DAY and WEEK!

I got in my basic workout this morning. This was day 8 on the bootcamp for me, though I did skip both Sundays in the last 10 days.

Happy Monday everyone!! I hope your week goes well!

Hi Ladies! I'm 36 weeks and slowing down a little. But, I'm keeping up the T-Tapp. It's honestly the only thing that makes me feel like I will be able to get through labor, again (or at least I hope it will help)

I just received an email that I can't seem to attach here!    But, Kristen Tucker is taking T-Tapp on the road. I'm extreemly tempted to go to the one in Charolotte, NC. She will have a 1 hour AB workout for $35 (along with other sessions). Maybe an early Christmas gift?

She's going to be in AZ (Angie ), TX, NC, and NH. I went to the T-Tapp site and those were not all listed, yet. It may be a corney thing to do, but I'm enjoying corney, lately!

I can't believe it is already another MONDAY!

How did everyone do last week?

I just did my exercising tonight...been trying to do it in the mornings, but it doesn't always happen that way. Tonight I did the T-Tapp Walk Away the Inches workout.

Who is next?

Here it is again...another MONDAY!

I got in my T-Tapp Walk Away the Inches this morning.

How did your week go last week? Did anyone get any exercise in?

I've been rotating between the Basic Workout and the Walk Away the Inches, I like a little variety.

I think in maybe a month or so (when we have more money in the bank!) I will order a new one...which one would you all suggest after the Basic Workout??

THANKS!

Candace, good work!
After the Basic Workout, I suggest the Total Workout. It is a struggle to fit it in the day, but I like the workout.
