Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Anyone else suffer from second trimester headaches? I am on my third day of the worst headache and have caved in and taken medication. I am drinking water, have tried caffeine. Any advice?

red raspberry leaf might help since it helps normalize hormones.. it's generally considered safe in 2nd and 3rd trimester.. mixed reports for use in 1st trimester.

and an ice pack on your head where it hurts can sometimes help lesson the pain.

I tried everything for this with my last pregnancy. What eventually helped were regular alignments at the chiropractor. Within two days of the first alignment my headache was gone and didn't return! My midwife recommends this concoction (in extreme cases):

1 sudafed
1 coffee
2 ES tylenol

Er, I think this is it. Don't try it unless someone else confirms a similar 'recipe'.

Good luck!!

Tylenol barely takes the edge off, but combined with an ice pack and a real coke (I know, ick, I don't like soda) I can usually get to a functional point.
