Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

do you take on a daily basis?

After getting my blood work back, I found out I'm really anemic. I'm sure I'm also depleted of most everything...at least that's how I've been feeling. What do you take? What brands do you like best?

Thanks.

NF Formulas Prenatal Forte is what I take.. it's simliar to the Rainbow Light prenatal system (the 6 pills a day).. You can get the Rainbow Light fairly economically from vitacost.com And I'd use alfalfa to boost my iron levels.

Taking the higher dose vitamins made such a difference for me. I moved while pregnant with our #4.. and so changed midwives and she recommended these and wow.. I went from being unable to not nap during my down time in the afternoon to not feeling sleepy at all at that time.

What I should take/am supposed to take every day:

Horse Chestnut/Gota Kola/Butcher's Broom (for leg/circulation)

Chamomile and/or Peppermint and/or Fennel tea (for IBS)

Vit E & Garlic (for circulation)

Multi-vitamin ( I take a kids one because I just can not handle the adult ones...)

Acidophilus (IBS)

Baby apirin (circulation)

What I actually take consistently is the baby aspirin, and sometimes the Vit E or the acidophilus.   I HAVE to be better about this. That is why it is part of the challenge for me on the other thread. sigh.

Hm. Well, right now (since I'm pregnant) I'm taking 2 Supermom (from Beeyoutiful.com) tablets a day, and a Bcomplex. In a few more weeks, I'll be taking some multi-oils as well, once I get thru any potential m/s (don't want to be tossing those back up, blech). I have to take an additional B complex because I am on metformin for my PCOS, and metformin depletes your B vitamin levels.

I take 3 metformin a day, right now, one in the morning and two at night before bed (although I am working up to taking 4 a day).

Anyway, hth. I really find that the Supermom vitamins work really well for me, but they ARE large, and while I don't have a problem swallowing them, DH does (he takes the Superdad version, lol).
