Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Does anyone know how to use the montessori Pythagoras board? I am thinking of buying it but the fact that I have no idea how to use it stops me javascript:AddSmileyIcon('') Same with the geometric sticks. and the binomial/ trinomial cube. I am willing to buy them but, have no idea what a child will do with them and am wondering whether the purchase would be justified.

Are any of you using these right now and do you find them valuable learning aids?

I have a fairly advanced 7 year old and a 5 year old if that helps any. Also, if I wanted to buy the corresponding manuals, would the MontessoriR&D ones be sufficient? I like what I see from NAMC but cannot think of spending that amount on a single manual.

Thanks

Bev

Have you seen this site? It doesn't have the presentation for the Pythagoras board, but it does have videos for the cubes, and a written presentation for the hundred board, which presents similarly to the Pythagoras... Not sure what geometric sticks you're referring to, that must be a title I'm not familiar with. I can tell you that I don't think Montessori materials are really worth having without an album of some sort. (Many Montessori educators do not believe they belong in the homes at all.)
