Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Never heard of them, Lisa, but the classes are really expensive it seems.

Have you been to Lori's blog?

Her elementary posts have been so helpful to me.

I think I'd start there.

Are you looking for anything else specifically? How to teach at that age? What to teach?

While it is frustrating that there is less available online for the 6-9 crowd, I enjoy the work with this age immensely. I use Lori's Comprehensive Lists for that age group. I go through the list and gather materials and presentations as we move through the year. It has worked very well for us.

Just thought I'd mention that I'm pretty sure that Karen is going to offer a class soon for 6-9. She is EXTREMELY affordable. Might be worth the wait. Anybody else heard this or know anything more?

I asked Karen Tyler about this a few months ago, and she told me that she's going to have her hands full helping out with her grandchildren while her daughter finishes a P.A. degree, so she's postponed any plans to offer elementary training until after her daughter's graduation in a couple of years.

She referred me to Lori Musa at usamontessori.org, which is the one you mentioned above. I haven't had a chance to check this out, though.

hi~
i love lori!

i feel i need more guidance though. as i said, i have an advanced 7 year old who has already had 3 years of proper montessori schooling. i was sort of winging it last year pretty much extending what she had been learning at the mont. kinder.
but feel now like i need to get serious. i have a lot of manuals and articles i have from the internet (lori's), and am getting ready to buy the motz albums.

i guess i am just scared, and want more backup.
i spent so much time in her classroom went whe went to the mont. school. but that was 3-6, and i feel 6-9 is different for me, the materials are different.
