Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

My son is just finishing casa this year and motoring along on the readers. I'd like to carry on with these readers (or similar readers). They are modern curriculum press. Does anyone know where i can get them, or have any suggestions as to where i can get some good beginning readers?

thanks.

I use a variety of readers - different children seem to respond differently to different readers - not helpful, I know.

Some I've used...I like them all...

BOB books

Little Angel Readers

I really love more and more the I CAN READ series of books because they can be coordinated with other studies going on.

Sonlight book lists for 1st and 2nd grade have a good list of books to start at for reading after your child has progressed beyond the Bob books. I also recommend CHC Little Stories for Little Folks. I have mine read teh SEton Faith and Freedom readers once through for speed, confidence and sight words. They are stilted but all three have enjoyed reading them once. And the improvement in the flow, and speed of their reading improves dramatically.
