Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Has anyone ever read it? It's available for a more affordable price here.

From the little I've read, it seems he used inspiration rather than force. Reminds me of the book "Hints on Child Training".

I haven't read the book, but here's a nice article about it:

We had a previous conversation before on the writings of John Bosco. I'm back needing to read more of his writings and Edith Stein's. I want more inspiration from Catholic educational philosophy. And then Ignatian? Instead of a physical trainer I need a reading trainer.

Seriously Jenn, anything you run across by Edith Stein on education would be helpful as well.

You're always so good about tracking down old threads!

Found this brief article in my wanderings...
