Is anyone familiar with this feature on their childs game? I am investigating it on my dd's. How far can this reach and can pc or cell phone chat with it?

My big kids use this to "text" each other from the basement to the 2 nd floor. I'm pretty sure it reaches across the street. You can only communicate with other nintendo ds- no cell or pc service.

My kids use it in the house and in the car. We were driving on the freeway once and they picked up somebody else's ds in a car near us, but as the car passed they lost the connection.
