Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

And you don't do cc. What are your seniors doing this year. Here is what my ds is taking (all at home except the science research): Morality and jusctice (the didache sereis); calculus; spanish (rosetta stone level 3 &4); enlish lit/comp (at least 6-8 books); US government (1/2 credit using abeka and federalist papers and ttc dvd); economics (1/2 credit abaka again) and a senior science research with a local science teacher. I have a very simple syllabus with each stating when tests/midterms/finals and papers are due.

Been wondering what others are doing. Especially with what assignments you have dc do senior year and what classes. I hope to be challanging my ds enough and seeing what others are doing helps. Also, those with dc at cc can chime in - I would love to know what type of classes your dc take and what work they entail.

I can't talk in credits as that is not how Australian schooling is structured, but for my dd17 (Grade 11) she is doing the following:

Faith - Didache (Just finishing Understanding the Scriptures, will start Morality or History next) May also take a side foray into Australian Catholic History as timely with Mary MacKillop's cannonisation next month.
Also reading Signs of Life - Scott Hahn

Maths - Mathematics.com.au

Science - Singapore Science, Chemistry

History - Story of the World Vol 4. I know this is below her age level but despite being a huge reader of history fiction, she is learning alot. I simply have Chiara progressing through it faster than otherwise.

Geography - Just completed World Physical Geography - Brenda Runkle now concentrating on map knowledge using Globalmania

Economics - Completed Whatever Happened to Penny Candy?

Spanish - Livemocha

Current/Church Affairs - Dad sends emails of interest.

Logic - Fallacy Detective relaxed family discussion at the tea table with Dad.

Language Arts:
English - English for Australian schools Bk 5 - Ronald Ridout (OOP)

Dictation - Spelling Wisdom Dd's spelling still needs work.

Handwriting - Dd working on regular practice, she has beautiful running writing but we neglected printing so we are going back.

Writing - Writing Classes with Sr Judith, retired nun with 50 years higshcool and university teaching experience. Covering different styles of essays etc.

Precis Writing - Old OOP book.

Literature - We have chosen a selection of books per term, one a fortnight (hard to find ones she has not read). To read and discuss.
