Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I have a 9th grader, and I'm thinking ahead the next few years for history curriculum. I've seen Declaration Statesmanship advertised in the CHC and Emmanuel Books catalogs, but I don't know anything about the course. I don't know anyone who has used it either. I'd like to know if it's a full year or semester course and what topics it generally covers.

If any of you have seen the course or used it, I'd appreciate the feedback.

TIA,
Trainmama

Dear TIA,

I have a ninth grader, as well, and have just ordered this course... so I'll get back with you in a few months to give you my humble opinion.

God bless.

I have reviewed this course. It is excellent! It is a semester course, but involves a lot of primary source reading, so it could be stretched to fit a year. It is intended for 11th or 12th grade though, and rightly so because the topics and research are pretty advanced. A highly motivated 9th or 10th grader could do it. It involves a lot of discussion, too. See the review with lots more info here:
