Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

My son had his first day of school yesterday. He was a very brave sixteen year old what with his mother following him around with a camera and all.

My oldest decided to go to a very good Jesuit school for his junior and senior year of high school. But when they handed me his course schedule I realize that they cover trig along with either Geometry or Algebra II. Well he has had both of these, but not trig. So he is now in analytical geometry/pre-calculus and AP Physics without having done Trig. He has covered sin, cos, tan, sec, csc, and cot. This weekend I went over radians with him and some basic identities. But now we are in two different states and it is just him and his dad until we sell this house. Can anyone tell me what trig they think is the most important that he know and/or a good source for Trig. I did get him the Idiot's Guide to Trig.
