Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Which FIAR titles are your favorites for springtime?

I'm thinking any of these would be good springtime focus.

Make Way for Ducklings
Miss Rumphius
Albert
The Story of Ferdinand
The Tale of Peter Rabbit

Because of Kristin's post from a few days ago, I think we are going to do Angelo. It's not specifically a spring read, but we are doing birds this spring and will fit in well.

I would refer back to Katie's post asking for suggestions to add a Catholic flavor to FAIR books/rowing. As people post ideas of spring FAIR books, post your Catholic rowing connections, too.

The Raft ...That's what we're rowing now.

And I love Beatrix Potter and really really love the Brambly Hedge books. Her website has recipes and extras. A Visit to Brambly Hedge has great extras and recipes too.

Oops, well, the Brambly Hedge books aren't FIAR, but I do love rowing them at springtime anyway!
