Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Joan of Arc

i just saw this on Amazon, and my library has it on order. Woo hoo!

The pictures look beautiful. So far there are no reviews on Amazon, so I'm curious to see it. OK- now back to the World Series...

I have seen it. Got it last week from the library. It is beautiful. And I feel it does a pretty good job of accurately portraying the story. Joan of Arc is one that you have to watch how the author presents it - it can be very secular or anti-church. Sometimes stories about her just present her as a historical figure without the sanctity that we would view her with. I feel like I need to brush up on my St. Joan history a bit to make sure, but preliminary reading and reviewing some sources I would say it is done well.
