Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I searched through the archives, thinking that we had discussed this topic a few years ago. No luck!

Over the next few days I plan to pull our favorite picture books with repeated lines for my 11yo to practice reading.

What are your favorites? A few that we have read recently include:

The Napping House - Wood and Wood
Over in the Meadow - Keats
Drummer Hoff - Emberley and Emberley
The Runaway Bunny - Brown and Hurd

I also found this link and plan to read through it soon for ideas.

Thanks for helping!

Love,

Off the top of my head: We're going on a Bear Hunt

Now I'll have to think a bit more.

Such fun, Angie!

I know it doesn't quite fit, but we were noticing repeated patterns in other books, like Homeplace and They Were Strong and Good. After a while my boys would start repeating the pattern.

Some others that come to mind:
The Carrot Seed
Brown Bear, Brown Bear
