Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

My Dear Noel

Jane Johnson

This was my big find at the library today... it is the true story of a letter Beatrix Potter wrote to a sick little boy. The letter eventually turned into the tale of Peter Rabbit. The story is touching, and the pictures are wonderful- very turn of the century and remind me a lot of the Allen Ahlberg and his wife.

A note at the back tells how the little boy Noel grows up to be a priest helping children in London's slums

Beatrix Potter, Noel Moore, polio, family, Peter Rabbit, sickness, letters

Thank you for the recommendation. I placed the book on hold at the library.

Thanks!
