Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Down The Road

Mama and Papa agree that eggs for breakfast would be nice, but they're too busy to go the the store. So they decide Hetty is old enough to go by herself. It's her first grown-up adventure! Although she practices walking up the hill smoothly so she won't break the eggs, she can't help running all the way down...

Beautiful illustrations with a lovely story. My children ask for this repeatedly.

Oh my goodness .... this is an adorable story. I love it. Such a loving message of forgiveness and not making a big deal out of a mistake (for parents )

And you can't go wrong with E.B. Lewis's illustrations either - I am always drawn to them - but then I'm a sucker for watercolor illustrations in picture books .
