Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Because you ladies are awesome and have the best suggestions...I need help!

One of WinterPromise's super neat looking programs is called Children Around the World.
Although the program is targted at levels 2nd-6th, many people say it is actually better for older kids, due to the "Plight of the Children" part of the program. Now, the program looks pretty full even w/o that aspect of it, and a friend of mine and I are dropping Plight, and subbing in "Saints Around the World" ideas that we are pulling togther. Not only does it get rid of the Plight aspect, it will make the Program have a very Catholic feel. While we know what Saint books we are using for the older ones (or read alouds) I would LOVE some more picture book ideas for the younger crowd (or visual learners!) I have pulled some ideas from Catholic Mosaic suggestions, but, really, you ladies are an absolute TREASURE TROVE of information. Here is the list of countries/regions/topics that are covered (on page 3 of the pdf file).

If you have a Very Favorite Saint Book for any region listed - will you share it?

Interesting Laura. I am in the middle of writing our World Geography program for next year. I am using Trailguide to World Geography as a base - then adding in literature from each country. I had not thought of adding in saints for each region. What a great idea!!!
