Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Albie the Lifeguard

Louise Borden

This is a perfect read for summer. Albie plays lifeguard in his own backyard until he feels ready to join the swim team.

Growing up, swimming, summer, lifeguard, friends, competition, pool rules, family, changes

Does Albie swing a whistle on a string? That's what my kids do whenever they play lifeguard!

I haven't seen this one and really enjoy all the other Louise Borden books I've read. I'm anxous to see this one. Thanks.

Why, yes, he does! He sets up his lifeguard stand in the backyard- so cute!
