Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Anatole, by Eve Titus

One of my ds5's current favorite books.

Previous 4Real thread: Cute books about mice

This is a series of books. We've only read the first, about a mouse and his creativity in searching for a way honestly provide for his family. Cute book. My kids love when I read it with a (pathetic) French accent and ask over and over what all of the French words mean.

I did not remember that I remembered this book until we just picked it up. I never read them with my older boys but remember them from when I was a girl. I had totally forgotten these. Thanks so much for the reminder!

I have never heard of
Anatole by Eve Titus, but found the book this weekend. Slow to the party. What a wonderful book! We just loved it! A great addition to France reading!

How many Anatole books are there?

All those titles and my library has only two.

I didn't realize that Eve Titus also wrote the Basil series, which we have several. It's so wonderful to keep "discovering" new authors and titles in the world of picture books.
