Guys we are doing this this week. I thought I had everything I needed, even though I cannot find my FIAR book. (we are trying to sell our house and I htink i packed it up ) Can someone who has FIAR please help me with the onomatopoeia and consonance examples. I don't know if I have found them all. Also the repetirion parts, I don't think I have this right either

I don't see any specific examples of onomatopoeia listed except crash and clumpity. Here is what the books says:

Onomatopoeia - The literary device where a word makes the sound of the same object (the "snarl" of the saw or the "buzzing" of the bees) is onomatopoeia. In this story, the sounds of scuffling (Crash -- clumpity!) is onomatopoeia.

I also don't see anything about consonants, there are vocab, elements of a good story, repetition and simile listed under the heading of Language Arts. I'll be happy to offer you more information about one of those!

Thanks Betsie, I was thinking there was an actuall list of examples from the book. We went ahead and just tried to identify some ourselves and learned lots more about onomatopoeia than I originally thought! Onomatopoeia is fun!
