For years, each autumn we read Barn Dance! and this year we felt the thrill, again, of sharing it with a new little one, 2.5yo ds. I love everything about this book. The illustrations (by Ted Rand) are sweet, capturing the night, action, and joy of the dance. The pumpkins and apples in the barn say "autumn!" And check out the beautiful owl in the tree. The words capture the feel of a square dance and keep the pages turning with anticipation.

On the same theme, here is a fun board book called
Barnyard Dance.
