Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Ok, I'm into asking for picture book or book information today. Here is my latest. I heard of a series of books much like Dr. Zeus that are, I think, written by Fr. Fox. Anyways, I believe one is called Ray Likes to Pray. Since my 6 yo has just learned to read, I thought it would be nice to have this series along with Dr. Zeus for some good reading. (Dr. Zeus is so, so familiar from the repeated reading when little and these others really do sound wonderful). I've been looking for where to get them and have been unable to find them. Does anyone know anymore about these books? We first heard about them at the bookstore in Hanceville but I don't see them on EWTN catelogue.

Edited to add: My dh suggested a google on the book name and we found our own book. Anyways Ray Likes to Pray is written by Fr. Fox and is available through him or Catholic Free Shipping.

A friend had it. It was much enjoyed by the little ones 6 and down, but older than that there was some scoffing. The artwork is not stellar, and the rhymes are nowhere near as clever as Seuss.

It does have a good message! And the kids were repeating some of the rhymes for a while.

I honestly don't know whether I'd buy it, myself.

Hi Janet.

When we met Fr. Fox about 2 years ago, Ray likes to Pray was just coming out.   The series is planned, but there aren't any others out yet that I know of.

Hope that helps.

God bless,
