I can't even say how much I loved the Narnia books as a child and this week I started reading The Magician's Nephew to my 5yo DS.

Isn't that a wonderful moment?
I started homeschooling partly because of Narnia. I realized we had gotten so busy with Catholic school that my oldest was seven and I hadn't been able to get around to reading these books, my favorites as a child, to him. So we read them the summer he turned eight. And I knew I couldn't send him back to school

Isn't this the best feeling? This is one of the many reasons why we homeschool: so I can share my love of literature with my children.
I loved Charlotte's Web when I was a little girl. I am so thrilled that my two oldest share that same joy when it comes to reading about Charlotte.

Oh, I SO know this feeling, Sara!
My kids used to tickle my feet when I read Narnia to them...and at the end of each chapter they would tickle more attentively, hoping to "trick" me into accidentally reading another chapter. Funny, it always worked! 
Little did they know...I was enjoying the book as much as them! oh, and I loved the longer feet tickling sessions, too!

Sharing great books with children is one of my favorite things! We have an older set (24,22,19,15) and a younger set (5 & 5) ( the Lord truly has a sense of humor:)so now I'm getting a second chance to read those wonderful classics to my twins and find new ones that weren't around the first time through.
We just started our first offcial chapter book, Charlotte's Web, and they are enjoying it. We read one chapter a day right before naptime.

I am reading Charlotte's Web with my 10 year old right now - and I was remembering yesterday how sad I was when I first read that book as a young girl, and found out that Charlotte dies....

Me too! Me too!
We actually finished the Magician's Nephew in two days while my husband had time off after Christmas. We're now reading The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe-which is my favorite! My seven year old, who just started reading fluently took over my role of reading outloud tonight and at first I was a little disappointed because I was enjoying myself so much.  I was soon over it when I realized what an awesome job she was doing!
A Narnian Tea is in the works here. I can't wait!

That is wonderful! I remember feeling the same when when I read the Little House books to my older dc and The Hobbit to this younger set. Brought back all those warm fuzzy feelings from my own childhood.
