Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I read a book about New York City and I think a Catholic Armenian family at the turn of the century years ago to the older guys, but we didn't own the book
Now I am on the search for it, but I can't for the life of me remember the title
It was something like, "When Trees Speak/Talk at Christmas". The family attends Midnight Mass and the grandfather (I think) takes the younger ones later on in the day and the trees "speak". It was written on about a 5th grade reading level.
Ug! Can anyone help?
Blessings,
Stephanie

That is the one. It is about a Lebanese family, and you will love it. Very simple, sweet and moving.

Thanks so much for mentioning this book. I bought a used, beat-up copy this Christmas and am thoroughly pleased! What a beautiful, beautiful book!
