Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

OK- where are you (and your kids) doing all your reading these days?

Is it in bed before lights out? Is it in the car via book on cd? Is it on the couch with a blanket and a mug of something hot to drink?

Let us know, and you could win:

Caddie Woodlawn

Pippi Longstocking

The Wizard of Oz

Or- for all you readers who like to read in bed, a handmade St. Patrick's Day pillowcase or (for younger readers) a handmade Jungle Book pillow case

Have fun!

I read just about anywhere, except while driving, walking, biking and showering. I'm not that big on audio books, and, trust me, the first time you drop a library book into the bathtub. you stop reading while bathing!

I picked the couch, so I can have my cup of tea on the table next to me.

Anywhere.. except that I can't read in a moving vehicle

Though comfy chair or couch by the woodstove is a particular favorite. Also in bed. (I read most evenings right before sleep)

Outside . . . . when the weather is nice . . . . like that ever happens! I guess that is my dream location. I comfy chair or couch is my second pick.

In bed, but the couch is a very close second. I also find kids reading outside. Pretty much everywhere!

I started listening to Uncle Tom's Cabin on my walks and I thought I was getting close to the end only to discover I was about 1/3 of the way!

My favorite is in bed, close second is comfy couch, then next bathtub. I have had a book drop in the tub, too. Oh, and then there was the time when visiting my parents I was reading in the tub while everyone was still sleeping, a rare treat, indeed. Their toilet is right next to the tub in this particular bathroom and I went to set the book(of theirs!) on the toilet so I could get out of the tub, only to find the lid was up!    I was horrified to have dropped their book into the toilet. Thankfully my Mom was very forgiving on the fact, but I was very upset by it. Definitely a thing I would be careful not to have happen again!

I said in bed. I would say on the comfy couch, but if I sit there, I'm immediately mistaken for a piece of playground equipment, so if I'm going to read, I have to hide in my room.

I voted for the comfy couch, although I also read in bed. I tend to conk out quicker when I am reading in bed.

I voted for anywhere because that seems to be where the reading has to happen these days. Ideally I'd be outside in lovely weather in a hammock or comfy chair--but right now it is 20 degrees and blizzarding, so that is out.

Yep, have done both here, too . The toilet only once, but I am afraid I am a multiple bath tub offender. I try to be reallllly careful now...

I read most of my books in the bath. I have yet to drop a book into the tub, but I'm sure it will happen. I don't read library books in the tub - those are in bed.

We used to love reading on the couch, but now everyone's favorite reading spot is in their own bed.

We do love listening to good audio books in the car too! It helps cover school and sure makes travel time go by faster!
