Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

My oldest dd will be K age next fall and I'm looking for some books for a character study. Thanks!

Thanks for posting, Lisa, and welcome. Can you tell us what character formation or virtues you are most interested in? What is your dd's attention span or preference for books?

Love,

Children's Treasury of Virtues has some great material in it.

DD and ds both have a great attention span for books. We haven't started any chapter books yet but I'm thinking that they are ready to listen to their first one after we get moved into our new house. I haven't thought too much about specific virtues to study. I think what I want to do is study virtues in conjunction with habit training. After we move I'm going to look through Laying Down the Rails and pick some that are especially relevant at my house.
