Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I know there are some great ones for picture books, but what about for kids that are reading longer chapter books?

I'm sure some of the more seasoned homeschoolers will have tons more resources to offer, but here are a few ideas:

http://www.bethlehembooks.com/ Bethlehem books offers several great series including the Living History Library. We are enjoying many of these books.

There is a book called "Honey For a Child's Heart" that provides lists of recommended books.

Also, "For the Love of Literature" is a great book full of book recommendations.

Thanks. I'll check those out. I had heard of those, but I thought they were picture books or for younger readers. Now I'll have to see if the library has them.
