Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I am thinking that I should be doing a little more of a study on the literature my son is reading. Many books mention discussing plot, characters etc. with your children as they read books. However, I was not a child who enjoyed English class- Math and Science were my loves. I cannot remember ever digging into the actual study of literature much in high school and I never took any literature classes in University.

I think I just need some sort of a guide to get me on the right track. Right now my son is reading everything he can get his hands on and is happy to read the books I assign and strew.

Where did those of you with older children begin with literature study? (Assuming there was a point when you began to look a little deeper into some of the books you were studying).

(I don't know if this post makes sense at all... it is very late here ).

Wow. There are some great books on those sites. I really like the first one as it has some books that will be easier reads for my son so that we can ease into this.

Thanks Erin.
