Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

These would be read alouds--

Scotland's Story, by H. E. Marshall (quite long, a narrative history)

Anything about William Wallace--I think Jim Weiss might have the Henty book about him read aloud on tape? I wonder if you could find any shorter chapters about him in older books such as on the mainlesson website?

There are some children's versions of the books by George MacDonald about "Wee Sir Gibbie", I have not read them or seen them around for years, maybe OOP. George MacDonald's fairy tales are wonderful, but I'm not sure how specifically "Scotland" they are.

The UK in general would be easier, as you could go with King Arthur or many other options.
