Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I was reviewing the notebook where I write down everything I read. Last year I read around 53 books. I read in kind of a haphazard way this past year and I want to have some reading goals for this year. The problem is that I can't decide!
I have several things in mind:
- concentrate in reading some children's authors that because I didn't grow up here I have missed. Last year I read all of the Anne of Green Gables' books and loved them. I was thinking on doing that with Louise May Alcott - I did read the majority of her books but I read them in Spanish so I would like to read the originals.
- I could follow my dd reading plan and read some of the classics she is going to be reading: Oliver Twist, Robison Crusoe, and a couple more I don't remember.
- I want to make sure that I always have a spiritual book going.
-I was thinking in going through The Well Educated Mind suggestions for fiction and trying to do the questions in the book. This kind of thing seems to be better when you have a partner (or a group) to do it with. I don't have one unless one (or several) of you want to join me in this

Do you have any goals or lists to work through this year? Have you formulated any plan to guide your reading this year?

Impressive, Natalia! Great plan to read along with your dd and the classics.

No reading goals for this year because we are making two local moves. But wanted to share that I am also reading my way through the Anne of Green Gables series and am loving it. It's a pleasant escape. Right now I am on Book 7. Do you remember if you stopped at Anne of Ingleside? Because that is Book 6. Rainbow Valley is Book 7.

Also, I wanted to enthusiastically say that I would jump at the chance to have a reading partner(s) for TWEM. I have already read Don Quixote. Count me in to join you

You are moving twice in a year? Wow! I'll pray for you...

I didn't know that there was a book 7. I have to check it out. Thanks!

Should we talk about it after your move?

Sure, let's plan for this summer. I'd really love to have a reading partner!
