I am considering getting my husband A Year with C.S. Lewis: Daily Readings for His Classic Works for his birthday in July and I am wondering if anyone has read it. Is it well done? Would it be weird to try to start reading it in the middle of the year instead of January 1st? Also, would it be appropriate for an 11 year old boy to read too?

I bought it at the library a couple of months ago for a dollar!

I haven't used it as a daily reading like I intended, but it would not be awkward to start in the middle. The excerpts do not "connect" (for lack of a better word) from day to day. They are all independent readings.
