Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Okay, how is it that I've lived 30 years and never knew anything about EWTN?

Some of you folks have been so gracious with me in my faith journey and recommended I watch Mass and listen to the programs.

I couldn't believe it when I found it. It is pretty neat!

The journey continues. I'm still floundering about WHERE I'm supposed to be; where I fit in. I am learning one thing---the liturgical year is so much "fun" to teach your children. I can see my little ones grasping things of faith & history never known before. I'm learning with them, which is double fun.

*** By the way, I posted this here b/c I didn't see the faith forum up for some reason*** :)

Lindsey,

I am a Catholic revert and the Catholic faith is so amazing. We love celebrating the liturgical calendar together as a family. Every season is so beautiful and it makes our faith grow!

I love EWTN too. Anything Scott Hahn related(books or shows) I highly recommend. Have you read Rome Sweet Rome by Scott Hahn?

Enjoy the journey! Our dear Lord is so wonderful. He will help you and guide you.

Lindsey,

I read your blog and was happy to see you here also. I'm a hopefully, soon-to-be convert to Catholicism and EWTN played a significant role in my conversion. As Marianne said, Rome Sweet Home is a great story about Scott Hahn's conversion. The Journey Home is also a great show on EWTN.

I pray for you on your journey.

I know exactly what you mean, Lindsey!

During Lent two or three years ago, we got a dish & I was channel surfing late one night. I heard a booming voice talking about repentance...and he said "In the End, you and I will be in Heaven or Hell. Period." That was my introduction to EWTN and Father Corapi .
My family enjoys all the programs.

Please forgive the total newbie question but what is
EWNT?

Lindsey, I've read a couple of your other posts, and it seems like we are (kinda) on the same sort of journey.

I describe myself as "half Catholic" LOL! Kinda like being "half-pregnant"! :)

I was (again, sorta raised Catholic when I was very young, have been EXTREMELY Fundamental Evangelical Protestant and I am now discovering?, rediscovering? converting? reconverting? Catholicism. Much to the confusion of my family, friends, even myself. :\

I can not explain it, but an empty place that I wasn't even that aware that I had, has been filled since I started down this road.

Now I KNOW what that "peace that passes all understand" truly is.

I'm sorry, I don't mean to hijack your thread.

I was just going to tell Lindsey that there are many Catholics who don't know about EWTN !

It's a TV (and now, radio) network started by Mother Angelica. It's not on cable here, but we can get it live on the computer, and on Sirius Radio.

Here's a link to their main page(they have a great web presence, too!): EWTN
