Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Alice posted this in the Corpus Christi thread and I'm hoping to have more people take a look at it:

Those interested in learning more about Eucharistic Adoration for children ought to get a copy of the book, Praying in the Presence of Our Lord for Children by Father Antoine Thomas, S.J..

Happy Feast of Corpus Christi tomorrow, everyone!

I met Fr. Antoine at a conference last September. I can't describe how it felt to be with him. Such a holy man! He has established a beautiful childrens holy hour at a parish near my home. We had a holy hour at our parish with one of the priests from Fr. Thomas order. What a blessing it was for our parish. If anyone is in the Chicagoland area and would like some info. please PM me.
I know Fr. Thomas has some videotapes for children from a series he had on EWTN. He has a thick French accent so it takes some getting use to for the children.
God bless,
Marybeth

That is phenomenal, Marybeth. I would love to have something like that for my kids.

Fr. Antoine did a holy hour presentation at the Cathedral here last fall for our homeschooling groups. It was phenomenal - he is great with the children. If anyone has a chance to get him to your area it is well worth it as Marybeth mentioned. He would be good for a Catholic homeschool conference or retreat.

We sometimes watch Fr. Antoine on EWTN (my children call him "The French Priest"), but how great it would be for them to meet him. The Society of St. John's main house is in Shohola, Pennsylvania, which is only about 3 hours from here. Who knows? Maybe we would be able to arrange for Fr. Antoine, or one of the other priests of his order, to come.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Alice,

Fr. Antoine is a chaplain at a Unversity here in IL. I am sure he is out for the summer. You should try to get something arranged while he has the time off...do you think I could be any pusher for what you need to do?????

Sorry, don't mean to be a bother...he is just so wonderful in person and your children would love him!!!
I know at the last Holy Hour (we couldn't attend) he blessed all the children individually with the monstrance. Many mothers I spoke with said they were crying it was so beautiful. I was so sorry to have missed it.

Have a wonderful weekend. I am through being a pest for the today.
