I am really sorry to report an error in Catholic Mosaic. The feast of St. Benedict is listed as February 11, when it is really July 11 (March 21 in the traditional calendar). There is a Benedict with a feast day on the 11th, but it is a different Benedict, not Scholastica's twin. I thought it was poetic to have their feasts back to back, and so I didn't check it out as carefully as I should have. (There are several places on the web that have this error as well!)

We will be amending future printings of Mosaic to reflect this, but you will want to note this in your booklist. One good thing is that you can revisit the book in July when the book offerings are a bit slimmer.

Don't give it a thought, Margot. With all the many Catholic saints with similar or identical names, this is the easiest thing in the world to do. I'll bet the two St. Benedicts wouldn't mind us celebrating their lives together in February or July!
