I posted this here because this book goes beyond the great picture book category - it is a great FAITH book that even older kids would enjoy. The Stone: A Persian Legend of the Magi by Dianne Hofmeyr is a great folkloric tale of what happens to the Magi after they get home with a "gift" the Christ Child has given them. It is a great telling of the universality of Jesus and exactly who He is: king, healer, peacemaker.

I also just finished a blog post about our Epiphany party today -- I read this book at the party and the kids really seemed to enjoy it. The post has some rough "notes" on what we did at the party if you're looking for ideas for next year.
