Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I've been trying to get the books together, at least for the first few months of the school year.
I could only find The Good Man of Assisi in the used section of Amazon. I ordered it, then got an email from the seller. She is actually just a few miles from me. We've had an ongoing conversation about St Francis by email; turns out she has a great devotion to him, has been to Assisi and is going back in a few weeks. She actually dropped off the book in my mailbox and says she is going to give me a few more St Francis books from her collection!
She seems like a sweet woman.

Wow - Mary Ann,
Great bit of serendipity!
What is the bookseller? Sounds like we should patronize her! Does she have a store front? I have a hard time finding real used book stores in our area.

That is so neat, Mary Ann. I think Cay must have had a hard time narrowing books for St. Francis. I'm always finding more titles.

I'm very perplexed how I almost missed this.

I was looking for the German cones to send a link to Teresa when---in typing "back to school"---I came across this thread. How bizarre is that!?

Anyway, yes, Jenn is correct. St. Francis was probably the hardest saint to narrow down. There are so many book on him.

And yet some saints there is

Loved to hear your story, Mary Ann. It is such a small world and the Lord blessed us through others.
