Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I need some books about the Mass. It seems like we hit that topic hard during FHC prep but now my 13 yo revealed he doesn't want to serve anymore because he doesn't understand what is going on during Mass and why we do what we do. Any guidance and how to teach him? I'm sure the 10 yo will follow along too. He enjoys serving even though he doesn't know what is going on.

I don't have it but it's on my wish list.

I agree with the recommendation. It even includes a study guide :-)
It is written for adults so I wouldn't recommend it to a kid disinterested in reading but it's quite easy to follow.

The author also wrote A Pocket Guide to the Mass which provides a short but through overview of the Mass. This book is what I have my tween kids read (We have at least a family overview of the Mass every two to three years, or whenever a 1st communion comes up).
