Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

July 12

We don't have a feast day thread for this holy married couple. As homeschooling moms and wives with a vocation to growing our families in virtue and holiness, they are such a great example and can be our patrons in family life.

So, I would love to brainstorm ideas. I had thought about some food ideas over the last year and did finally post one at Catholic Cuisine - Blessed Zelie Martin's Lace Effect Sugar Cookies.

I have a couple more I am working on as well like using this sugar veil icing. Anyone ever used it?

I thought that these lace roses would be a perfect girly craft for the day - not only are they lace but they are roses so tie into St. Therese as well - the whole family...

(from Aly & Ash blog)

This little bowl with the imprint of lace like I did for the cookies, is another project I have been eying. It is so lovely.

DIY Clay Jewelry Dish

And an article to read:
The Holy Household of Louis and Zelie Martin

Lovely, Mary.

Classic lace cookies would work, too. I would hate to ruin my doilies....

Yes, classic lace cookies is one of the next posts I am working on as I think they would be very fitting as well. I had a couple old, stained doilies that I don't have any particular attachment to, so those worked really well.
