Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Advent Week 2 :

Isaiah 9:6- Jesus is the Prince of Peace
~For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; And the government will rest on His shoulders; And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.~

Sunday:

Light the advent candle together

Opening Prayer:

Lord, you are indeed the Prince of Peace. We look to you during this holy season to give us peace in our hearts as well. We know that the world offers us many things, but they always leave us yearning for something more. True peace can only come from you. The mother and daughter relationship thrives when your peace is present. St Therese and her mother St. Zelie had only a short time together on Earth, but as Saints, they are at peace together for eternity. Let their example inspire us to Sainthood as well!

St Therese and St Zelie, pray for us!

Our Father....

Hail Mary....
Hail Mary....
Hail Mary....

Glory Be....

Discussion Questions:

Mom:

What does peace mean to you?

Daughter:

What were some times this week that you needed peace?

Both:

Was there a time when you weren't at peace with your mother or daughter?

Closing Prayer:

Lord, we thank you for this time we can spend together. Our lives are so busy, and there is little time for peace and quiet. Teach us to savor the moments that are still, and to listen for your voice. Guide us on your path, to your most perfect peace, a peace beyond all understanding. In Jesus name, Amen.

Daily:

Light the candle if desired.

Lord, as we continue this week, help us to hold your peace in our hearts. If we notice one another struggling, help us to let them know we are there for them, to share your eternal peace.
We ask this through Jesus Christ your son. Amen.

Hail Mary....

Glory Be....
