Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

You ladies are so crafty and creative, I thought I'd run this little idea I have past you and see what you think!

I am inspired to make a prayer board for near our altar in our living room. I would like to include things like our Pope's intentions for the month, our bulletin clipping of newly married/baptized/deceased/etc, "the year of..", month of, even maybe the Saint of the day, special intentions, etc. My aim is to have something that is flexible enough to change as needed, but still pretty to look at. Right now, we have things taped all over the wall that the altar is on, and it is starting to look a bit raggedy.

Any ideas on format or special sections to include? Has anyone done this?

Thanks and happy happy Sunday!!

What a neat idea! I wish we had wall space to hang things by our prayer area, but you have to work with what you have

I think I would be inclined to make or buy a fabric covered board that you could tuck stuff behind the ribbons or use push pins, something like this Display Board

This is such a nice idea. I just have stuff taped all over the refrigerator right now. Hmmmm.

Excellent idea! I wish I could stop being so dependent on electronics. It's so easy to cut and paste into Stickies. A prayer board near the altar would be really nice.

Yes, this is our problem. Our altar has a ba-gillion papers/decorations taped on the wall around it. It is childlike and sweet, but not too pretty.
